Dear Cardmarket Users,
As many users have probably noticed, Cardmarket has started using Cloudflare when users navigate to the website. We know this can be frustrating with the in-between screen that shows up, but it's an important feature to help prevent unnecessary bots and spam traffic, which can cause more significant problems for users. But don't worry! We've made several small optimizations on Cardmarket that should reduce the frequency with which users see the in-between screen. We intend to continue making these optimizations to help users reach the website faster and more efficiently.
Another issue caused by the new Cloudflare service occurred when some of our biggest sellers would generate sales reports. This process would sometimes fail because the request would time out while generating the report. To fix this, we are changing the sales report process slightly. Starting today, users will notice that generating sales reports happens separately from when they start the process. This applies to all reports generated in the statistics and transaction details sections of user accounts. Users can view the progress of their report on the downloads section of their account, and when the report has been generated, users will receive an email letting them know the file is ready to download. This asynchronous process will prevent any time-out errors from occurring and will allow users to do other tasks on Cardmarket while their report is being generated.
Please note that any report you generate will only use data from the previous day or earlier. Any orders you purchase or sell on the day you request the report or afterward will be excluded from the final download. Additionally, there is a 23-hour block when requesting the same file that you have already downloaded since that file is cached and won't change until the 23-hour period has concluded. Currently, this block applies to both the payment and purchase date versions of the file, meaning if you request a payment date file, you cannot request a purchase date file until the 23-hour block has finished.
