Cardmarket Needs Additional Details from Private and Professional Sellers to Comply with the DAC7 Directive

Dear Cardmarket Users,

To comply with the new DAC7 Directive, Cardmarket will ask users for additional data starting on November 13th. Private Sellers with a home address in the EU will be prompted for their place of birth or their TIN (Tax Identification Number) along with which EU state provided that TIN. Users requesting seller status will also be required to provide this information before becoming a seller.

Professional accounts will be prompted with a banner to fill out a form that they will have four weeks to complete. This form will ask for their TIN (Tax Identification Number), the EU state that issued the TIN, their registered company name (if applicable), their commercial register number (if applicable), and whether their business has a permanent location in the EU (if applicable).

Once sellers have filled out the required information, we will forward it to the respective agency to comply with the DAC7 directive. DAC7 requires that we collect and provide this information once per year. Here is more information for those wishing to learn more.

Happy Shopping!
