Dear Cardmarket users,
We have become aware of some issues with the current Wants List and Shopping Wizard algorithms. In response to this, we have deployed a change that increases the number of expansions checked for cards requested from “any” expansion. This means that cards added to your wants list without selecting an expansion (any) will use the last 20 expansions the card appeared in, as opposed to the last 10, to calculate prices. This both increases the performance and accuracy of the shopping wizard.
To delve into this feature a bit more, we are currently working on two more updates to the wants list and shopping wizard. Look out for these in the future:
- In the near future, you will be able to select multiple expansions when adding a single card to the wants list. Allowing this should remove the inconvenience of automatically selecting the past X expansions when no preference is set.
- We’ll also be reworking the algorithm based on this change, which will make the algorithms more effective and cost efficient.
