Dear Cardmarket users,
Starting in January 2026, Cardmarket will collect VAT on professional-to-private imports coming from outside the EU in order to better comply with EU regulations. This means you won’t have to go pick up affected shipments and pay VAT when they are delivered. It also means we have to start collecting the Value Added Tax (VAT) owed on shipments costing up to 150 euros, excluding shipping. Please note that the above only applies to shipments costing up to 150 euros, excluding shipping, and only for shipments where a private buyer buys from a professional seller based outside the EU (Business-to-Customer).
All affected shipments will have a warning label that users can view before adding them to their cart, and users will see the VAT cost for a shipment before committing to buy. This will not affect any sales within the EU and will not affect B2B or C2C sales. If you have any questions, please check our Tax Requirements page for the full details.
Happy Shopping!
